It's claimed ethnic minorities in England have a poorer awareness of the

symptoms of cancer than white people.

 

Researchers say they're much less likely to spot things like persistent coughs

and moles as warning signs.

 

They're also more reluctant to see their doctor about them - blaming

embarrassment and a lack of confidence.

It's the start of the annual Movember charity campaign today.

 

Last year, men across the UK raised more than 20-million pounds - by growing

moustaches and not shaving them for a month.

 

Movember's traditionally been associated with causes like prostate cancer

research.

 

But one of its co-founders Justin Coghlan says they've widened it out this

year to mental health.

Rita Ora has been forced to delete a tweet - after her plan to get it retweeted

100 thousand times didn't come off.

 

The singer told fans she'd release her new single on Monday in return for 100

thousand retweets - but deleted the message when it only got 2000.

 

It's not known if Rita - who has over 3 million twitter followers - will

release the track anyway.

Bend it like Beckham is being turned into a West End musical.

 

The show - based on the hit British comedy that launched the career of Keira

Knightley - is being produced by the same people behind the 2002 movie.

 

It opens in London next May.

Ikea's announced a big increase in sales in the UK.

 

They rose 11-point-3 per cent in the 12 months to August - to just over

1-point-4 billion pounds.

 

The home furniture retailer said last year it wanted to double its turnover
